Great design--most smaller birds can get in including bluebirds, chickadees, nuthatches, titmice, downy woodpecker, goldfinches, & more. No assembly required. Hard to clean when seed gets clogged inside after several days of rain.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

My (wild) birds seem to love this feeder. Note: I wouldn't recommend trying to open the cage for cleaning. No assembly necessary. Love the tray on bottom. Don't think it will allow cardinals; but I got it to get rid of nuisance birds like starlings - works great!
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
